everything will be forgotten

He found them, decades after the moments they came from: old snapshots of himself, a child standing naked in a bathtub. At first he ignored them, but over time gravity pulled him in. Poring over these small prints for months, Rodick realized: "I could use these pictures of a boy in a bath. I thought I might transform them into something that used a boy’s pale thin body—my body—as a voice of betrayal: eruptions of emotion, intemperance, violent shadows." These are the images that became the series of pictures, completed 2014-2015, titled everything will be forgotten.
